Well, it's hard to imagine, but I did not upload all of these pictures from Neal's funeral. I can't honestly say why, other than maybe it was my way of blocking it all out. I must say, 19 months later, looking at the pictures, made it all feel like it was just yesterday that the hundreds and hundreds of people attended the burial service of a man who never should have been killed. Amazing how things come back even when you don't want them too. As I sat and cried last night looking at these pictures, I realized that they were too special not to put up here... And I'd like to thank Monica Hart for making sure I received them back in August of last year. I hope you find them as special as I did and remember the honor that was bestowed upon Neal that day.....Not the sad time that was forced upon us.
Outside the Church Before The Service
All of these pictures were taken outside the church before the service. The church is St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria. Neal and his family have a long history with that church and it was only fitting that his service be held there. We had attended a couple of services there together and it is indeed a beautiful church.

Outside the Church After The Service
All of these pictures were taken outside the church after the service. As you can tell, there were a lot of apparatus and a lot of people in attendance. As I walked out of the church following the Neal, I was completely overwhelmed by the deluge of blue... Neal was transported in the Aquia Harbour ambulance seen in the pictures below... It just seemed to be more fitting of an honor for a Medic killed in the line of duty. The fire trucks (in the background) from his fire department also had a prominent position in the front of the procession.
