Thank You All

May 2001

I have sent out Thank You notes to most everyone I had addresses for.  Unfortunately, one of the things I tried to teach Neal, which was to promptly write thank you notes, did not prevail in this situation.

Life has been very overwhelming since Neal has been gone ... I never wanted to imagine how life could be without him and now I understand why.  There is so much to do, so much to say, and you never really find the right way.  It seems as though things you meant to get done today, or at least tomorrow, still never get done.  I learned so many lessons with Neal's death ... but I've yet to learn do it today, because just like with Neal, even though I fully expect to, I may not have a tomorrow.

I wanted to at least express my extreme and deepest gratitude to all of you who have been there through this with me.  I did not know 90% of you prior to this tragedy, but I had heard so many of your names and what wonderful people you were.

I can not begin to express my continued appreciation to those who stepped in and took such a major part of my work during the time of Neal's services.

Kindness, dedication, love, and the utmost support definitely came through in everything that each and every person did to honor my husband ... And I just wanted to say Thank You... Again.

Like I said, I've learned a lot of very hard lessons during this tragedy, but the happiest thing I've learned is that friends and family pull together when they're needed, and they don't always disappear when it's over.  So many of you have kept in touch with me and what is happening with our child, and it truly means the world to me.... and I know it means the world to Neal too.

It's my family, friends (old and new), and co-workers like all of you, who have helped me make it through these past few months....

I'm grateful to you all....

May God bless you and your families,
