| Ashleigh stares in amazement at her Daddy's Fireman Christmas Tree (it's got a fire truck and a fireman climbing the tree to put on the star... My mom gave this to Neal last Christmas and he too, stared in amazement... He just loved it so it had to be a part of our Christmas this year too!! |

| Ashleigh Neale's Very First Christmas December 2001 |
| Ashleigh's first Christmas, was celebrated with Mommy, Nana, Pop Pop, Aunt Tracy, and Cousin Kevin in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It was a very emotional holiday season, but we made it through our first Christmas and New Year's without Daddy/Neal. We lit a candle for him (and my grandfather who passed away in September) at dinner .... and when it was time to blow Neal's out, I just could not do it. A few hours later as my mom got ready to go to bed, she looked at it and thought of Neal, and told the candle she didn't want to blow it out, and then it went out on its own.... Thanks for covering for us Fireman Nealy. |

| No holiday would be complete without Neal, so we did our best to decorate his grave for the Christmas holidays before we left. He even had his own little tree adorned with ornaments, angels, and pictures of our wonderful little girl. Special thanks to my mother for bringing back the beautiful grave blanket from Ohio. |
